From Academic Depth to Analytical Writing

Economics is not merely the language of numbers and charts; it is a powerful form of storytelling that takes the pulse of society, analyzes the past, and offers foresight into the future.

With this understanding, I have been writing on economic topics for many years, analyzing developments in both Turkey and the global economy, and presenting readers with clear, accessible, and multi-layered content.

My Educational Foundation: A Pen Rooted in Knowledge

This journey is underpinned by a strong academic background.
I completed my undergraduate studies in Business Administration, where I had the opportunity to delve deeply into the core dynamics of the business world, from financial analysis to marketing strategies.

After earning my bachelor’s degree, I pursued an MBA (Master of Business Administration) to develop my managerial skills at an international standard. This education provided me with a global perspective on business management, finance, strategic planning, and leadership—enabling me to interpret economic data not just technically, but also from strategic and managerial viewpoints.

In addition, to more comprehensively analyze the impact of international political developments on the economy, I completed a second master’s degree in Political Science and International Relations at Nişantaşı University. This program significantly enhanced my ability to read the political backdrop of the global order alongside economic developments.

Most recently, on January 31, 2025, I completed my third master’s degree through a thesis-based program in Business Management. My thesis, titled “The Positive and Negative Effects of Institutionalization in Family Businesses,” has become a valuable resource contributing meaningfully to the literature in this field.

Economic Writing: Stories Told Through Data

In my economic writing, I strive not only to report current developments but also to make sense of the relationship between macroeconomic data and people’s daily lives.

While interpreting the vulnerabilities of the Turkish economy, global economic trends, and the economic implications of policy decisions, I aim to offer readers more than information—I seek to provide perspective.

In my articles, I address technical subjects such as global inflation, central bank interest rate decisions, trade balances, growth figures, and energy markets in a clear, understandable manner that emphasizes cause-and-effect relationships. Simultaneously, within an economic-political context, I explore how geopolitical crises, elections, and global strategies impact economies.

Economists Who Inspire Me

In advancing in this field, I have drawn inspiration not only from academic knowledge but also from the approaches of powerful writers. For example, the analytical depth, data interpretation skills, and social considerations of Nobel laureate economists like Paul Krugman have served as significant references for me. I embrace Krugman’s philosophy of “explaining economics in a language that ordinary people can understand” in my own writing.

Likewise, the diverse, cross-disciplinary analyses of figures such as Adam Smith, David Ricardo, Karl Marx, John Maynard Keynes, Friedrich Hayek, and Milton Friedman have guided my journey toward depth in economic writing. Their approach is not just to comment on the present but also to equip readers with conceptual tools. In the same spirit, I aim to inform my audience while simplifying technical language.

More Than an Article: An Invitation to Understand Economics

Every economic article I write is not just an analysis—it is also an invitation.

I call on readers not to be mere consumers, but to become thoughtful, questioning individuals who consciously follow current affairs. Because economics is not only about markets; it is also about life, justice, and development.

Final Words

For me, economic writing is not simply a profession; it is a way of life that encompasses continuous learning, analysis, and sharing.

By merging my academic foundation, global perspective, and local sensitivity, I aim to offer readers not just information, but also something that genuinely enriches their lives.
