Some journeys don’t just take you to a new place—they lead you to discover the creative spark within yourself. For me,
this trip across Los Angeles, San Diego, and Coronado Island was exactly that. I saw, tasted, and felt so much… But
most importantly, I found inspiration.
Los Angeles: Color, Rhythm, and Imagination
The first thing I noticed when I landed in Los Angeles was the jasmine scent blending with the salty ocean breeze. This
city enchants not only with its sunshine but with its ever-moving rhythm.
Walking along Melrose Avenue, every wall told a different story. Murals, boutique windows, vintage shops, and that
special energy where fashion never sleeps… This is where my creativity began to stir.
I stopped for breakfast at Joan’s on Third. White marble tables, a light-filled interior, and the scent of fresh croissants
mingling with the steam of espresso machines… In this city, people don’t just eat—they live. At the table next to mine,
a screenwriter was editing a script. Across the room, a designer was flipping through fabric samples. Inspiration was
everywhere.
By noon, I headed to The Butcher, The Baker, The Cappuccino Maker in the heart of West Hollywood. Drinking
coffee under art-covered tables felt like having an intimate conversation with the city. The lavender latte on the menu
still lingers on my palate…
Coronado Island: A Breeze Like Fabric, A Silent Muse
After a short ride from San Diego, I arrived on Coronado Island, where silence seemed to take on a new meaning.
Sitting by the shore near the iconic Hotel del Coronado, a gentle sea breeze carried the seed of a new idea:
The "Ocean Breeze" fashion collection.
The golden hues of the beach, the elegant lines of Victorian architecture, the pearl-like tones inside seashells… Every
detail of my collection began to take shape here. Flowing chiffon like the wind, soft linens, silk accents reflecting the
sunlight. Every emotion I experienced in Coronado became a design element.
At sunset, I indulged in a nostalgic burger and milkshake at Clayton’s Coffee Shop. The island’s retro spirit, its 1950s
soul, and the love for detail deeply shaped the essence of my collection.
San Diego: A City of Serenity and Grace
Arriving in the Gaslamp Quarter, I found peace even amid the crowds. Small cafés tucked between cobblestones,
people sunbathing in the shadows of historic buildings…
In a quiet side street, I discovered Copa Vida, whose clean and elegant presentation reminded me of how powerful
minimalism can be. In design, sometimes empty space speaks the loudest.
Later, I wandered through Balboa Park—a space where art and nature hold hands in perfect harmony. Sitting in the
Japanese Garden, watching sunlight ripple on water, I envisioned the soft pastel transitions of my collection.
And yes, in that moment I truly felt it: this city didn’t just inspire me—it rebuilt my inner designer.
For dinner, I headed to Little Italy. At Bencotto Italian Kitchen, the homemade truffle pasta nourished both body and
soul. Walking afterward with a gelato in hand, I realized that even under city lights, San Diego maintains its calm and
authenticity. That’s what truly fuels creativity—unpretentious elegance.
The days I spent in California didn’t just introduce me to new cities—they reintroduced me to myself.
The energy of Los Angeles, the poetry of Coronado, and the grace of San Diego all touched my Ocean Breeze
collection. And now, each piece tells a story—not of a city, but of a feeling: lightness, beauty, and inspiration.
